We began looking for a hidden fence system for our two dogs, Roscoe, a 9 year old Labrador and Maggie, a 4 year old Boxer, in the spring of ’09. The dogs had left the yard on a couple of occasions when the gate had been left open, so we needed a solution to ensure that our furry family members did not get out and get lost or worse, hit by a car.
We started by getting bids from all the pet containment companies in the Kansas CIty area. During the research phase we discovered a few things:
In the end, my wife and I pursued taking over the DogWatch Dealership in the area. My background has provided me with a working knowledge in the housing industry and an in-depth understanding of property codes and ordinances. Additionally, my dad was a professional bird dog trainer when I was growing up, so being around dogs has been part of my life since I was old enough to remember. My passion for our four-legged friends and my strong belief in the DogWatch Products, helped solidify my decision to represent DogWatch in the Kansas City area.
My family consists of my wife Paula, 3 great kids that keep us busy with sports and school activities as well as our 2 furry kids, Roscoe and Maggie, and Leo our Leopard-Spotted Gecko.
